2018 Commonwealth Games Bid
Halfnine pitched to be the 2018 Gold Coast Commonwealth Games Bid Agency and beat out some of Australia’s biggest ad agencies for the campaign.
Our idea was to get people “Behind the Bid” and create a website with a virtual ‘Beach Line’ to raise awareness of the Gold Coast bid. The community is invited to rally and show tangible support for the bid. The close integration of Facebook allows people to invite friends, family as well as share and display rewards and prizes with their Facebook friends. The joining of the line will also automatically add fans to the GC2018 Bid Facebook page.
The engagement is meant to be fun and themed around Athletes and the Gold Coast Community.
Furthermore the Gold Coast is shown as a destination. The line of people who publicly display their support do it in front of the iconic Gold Coast beach front and it’s famous landmarks.
